To guarantee the durability and reliability of shrink film packaging, strapping is a key step. At Ripack Supplies®, we offer a complete strapping solution with strong textile straps, retaining buckles and a compact tensioner. This system ensures that the film is perfectly held in place before heat-shrinking, whether for transport or outdoor storage.
Why strapping is essential before film shrinkage
The role of strapping is to hold the shrink film firmly in place before heat treatment. Without proper strapping, there is a risk that the film will shift, wrinkle or tear, compromising the effectiveness of the shrink process.
Our textile straps are specifically designed to adapt to the constraints of this type of packaging. Flexible, strong and non-aggressive, they surround the film without damaging it, while withstanding the heat generated during shrinking.
This support is particularly important in difficult outdoor conditions, where wind, temperature variations or frequent handling can weaken the packaging. The strapping then acts as a physical barrier, ensuring the stability of the whole.
Strong, flexible and durable textile straps
The straps offered by Ripack Supplies® meet two main requirements: mechanical strength and thermal resistance. Available in 13 mm and 19 mm widths, they can be adapted to different types of load and configuration.
- 13 mm width: ideal for standard applications
- 19 mm width: perfect for heavier loads or bulky formats

They are available in rolls of 1000 m (13 mm) or 480 m (19 mm), with a breaking strength of up to 820 kg. This robustness means they can maintain the tension exerted even after the film has shrunk, without deteriorating.
Strapping buckles: the essential locking element
For textile strapping to be effective, it must be locked with a suitable metal buckle. Our galvanised steel self-locking buckles ensure that the tension applied to the strap is optimally maintained.
They’re easy to install using the tensioner, and provide fast, lasting security for the strapping. Once in place, the buckle must be protected with shrink adhesive before being heated, to avoid perforating the film during shrinking.

The buckles are also available in 13 mm and 19 mm, to match the different strap widths used.
The compact tensioner: a practical tool for all situations
The Ripack Supplies® tensioner is a robust, lightweight and easy-to-handle tool. Its compact size makes it particularly useful when working in confined spaces, especially on complex structures such as boats, scaffolding or oversized pallets.
Its intuitive operation means you can tension the strap quickly, without excessive effort, while guaranteeing constant, reliable tension. Designed for intensive use, it fits all Ripack webbing widths (13 and 19 mm), making it a versatile and durable accessory.

A complete solution for effective strapping
The combination of textile straps, self-locking buckles and tensioner forms a coherent system, designed for shrink-wrapping professionals. It offers :
- Easy preparation before shrinking
